Is Autocoder Safe?
Short answer: Autocoder is designed so there is as little to trust as possible. It runs on your device, touches only what you explicitly capture, and encrypts everything it sends.
Will Zoom or Google Meet show the Autocoder overlay during a screen share?
No. Meeting apps do not photograph your monitor. They ask the OS graphics compositor for a copy of each window, and the Autocoder window carries the display exclusion flag, so the compositor leaves it out of every shared or recorded frame.
Does Autocoder inject scripts into Chrome or test portals?
No. It is a detached desktop window, not a browser extension. It reads nothing on its own. It only processes the region you capture when you press the hotkey, and it never modifies the test page.
How does audio listening work?
When you enable live listening, Autocoder transcribes your system speaker audio through a virtual loopback, which is how it hears the interviewer. Your microphone line is never modified, rerouted, or recorded beyond producing the transcript.
What happens to my data?
Captures and transcripts travel over encrypted connections and are used only to generate your answer within your session. No browsing history is collected, because there is no extension watching your tabs.
